Bio -
Jason Scarpace is a popular Texas artist who specializes in fish as a running theme in much of his artwork. An artist and a scholar, Jason earned his BS in Education (Art) in 2003, and was admitted to Texas A&M University to begin Graduate studies in Mathematics Education. Today, he and his wife Melanie, and their bouncing baby boy, "Benjamin," reside in College Station, Texas - where Jason currently works as an artist (and full-time, devoted husband and dad).

Statement - The son of creative, intelligent, loving parents, I can very clearly remember learning to create art from my Mom (and being supported whole-heartedly by my Dad).  From a very early age (approx. 3) I had the foundation set for a lifetime of avid interest in learning and in the creation of art; I am grateful to my parents for their guidance.  Additionally, I owe much of my recent inspiration to my beautiful wife Melanie - she's always there with support, encouragement, an occasional "redirection," and a positive spirit and enthusiasm unmatched by anyone I'll ever meet. My son, Benjamin, provides me with daily and constant motivation to succeed, as well. As an artist, I am acutely aware that my works represent more than simply my artistic skill or perhaps knowledge .. each work in it's own special way clearly displays my emotions and attitudes, desires and dreams, and my ideas & goals as both a person and an artist.  I've been extremely blessed to have almost always been surrounded my supportive, friendly, and knowledgeable family and friends .. today, my works represent much of what I have learned along the way. Life, and my works, are a journey - to enjoy.
