This is the painting that started
it all.
After the creation of this original, the series was born!
Esoterica ...
This painting was created for a customer whose name was
(and probably still is) 'David,' if my memory serves me correctly. He
had logged onto ipaintfish.com and purchased the painting as a Christmas
gift for his wife, but not this actual painting ...
You see, he intended to purchase 'AcidFish' (now titled, 'AcidFish 1,'
today), as a thoughtful Christmas gift for his wife. That particular
painting had already been sold, but the website hadn't been
updated to reflect the sale of the painting. Imagine my joy to log
on, see that a rather expensive painting had been sold, only to realize
that the same painting had been sold twice!
After a quick phone call,
the customer very kindly agreed to allow me to create another, similar
work, which would become this painting, AcidFish 2 (and the series was
born). By the way, that customer's kindness may have paid off; to
date, this is the single most asked about painting, ever, from my
studio. |
